While your pool may look clean and clear it is not always the case. Water balance is normally a good indication that the pool filtration system is working well so we would encourage you to get your water tested regularly to ensure everything is “tip top”! If you have automatic chlorinators it is a good idea to get an inspection every 6 months or so to make sure that the system is calibrated and working properly. It is also a good idea to organise an opening and closing of the pool for summer to make sure that your timers and chlorinators are set properly for the upcoming season. Too much chlorine in the pool in winter time is the perfect way to damage your pool equipment or cause long term damage to the pool surface. Not enough chlorine in summer is a sure-fire way to a green and unhealthy pool.
